BMW October Sales Increase

DSC_0282BMW Group announced financial results for October 2014. The company’s total worldwide sales increased 11.1% from October 2013, selling 184,297 vehicles as compared to 165,854 from the same month last year. This marked the highest ever October global sales month to date for BMW.

Worldwide sales of BMW brand vehicles were up 10.8%, totaling 155,120 vehicles sold as compared to 140,060 from the previous October. Sales of Mini brand vehicles increased by 13.4%, selling 28,834 vehicles as compared to 25,240 from the same period last year. BMW Motorrad sales also saw an increase year-over-year, up 5.5% to 8,836 vehicles sold from 8,376 vehicles sold from the previous October.

The increase in October global sales for the company were led by its three major regional markets. Asia led the pack and showed the highest increase in sales from October 2013 with a 16.7% increase, selling 56,010 vehicles as compared to 47,978 from the year before. Europe followed and increased 11% year-over-year and sales in the Americas saw an increase of 5.5% from last October.
