Mercedes-Benz Reports September Sales Increase

Screen Shot 2014-10-03 at 10.06.11Mercedes-Benz announced financial results for September 2014. The company’s total U.S. sales were up 10.6% from September 2013 when 24,697 vehicles were sold. This September, the company set a sales record and sold 27,315 vehicles, marking the fifth straight year of rising September sales.

The company’s sales of the Stuttgart-based automaker’s C-, E-, and M-Class vehicles helped lead to the best September sales in history. The C-Class led the pack with 6,285 units sold, a decrease of 24.7% from the previous September. The E-Class came close in second with 4,883 units sold, an increase of 14.4% from the same month last year. The M-Class followed in third with 3,460 units sold, an increase of 8.8% from September 2013.

The Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class four-door coupe also showed strong sales results with 1,100 units sold, an increase of 21.4% from the same month last year.

The company’s Sprinter Vans and smart car models achieved year-over-year increases in sales by 10.2%. 2,208 Sprinter Vans were sold and 748 smart car models were sold.

The Mercedes-Benz AMG high- performance models showed signs of growth with 717 units sold, up 6.2% from September 2013.

Mercedes-Benz pre-owned vehicle sales were up 30.1% from the previous month last year, selling 8,648 units.
