Audi to Debut Updated A6 and A7 Models in Los Angeles

IMG_8515Audi announced plans to debut updated versions of its A6 and A7 models at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The vehicles will receive an updated look, new technologies, and new engines for 2016.

The A6 and A7 models will have new front fascia including new LED headlights and a single frame grill and bumper. The models will feature new rear fascias including LED taillights and trapezoidal tailpipes.

The updated models from Ingolstadt will offer a selection of new interior color options including Flint gray and Cedar brown.

Both models will feature new engine updates for 2016 that offer more power and are paired with Audi’s time-tested eight-speed Tiptronic transmission. The redesigned A6 will have three engine options including an all-new 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, as well as a 3.0-liter gasoline engine and a 3.0-liter clean diesel engine.

The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is capable of 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The 3.0-liter engine develops 333 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. The 3.0-liter clean diesel engine is capable of 240 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque.

The redesigned A7 will have two engine options including the 3.0-liter engine and the 3.0-liter clean diesel engine. The specs for both are the same as those for the A6 engines.

The S6 and S7 models will have 4.0-liter gasoline-powered engines that will produce 450 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. In addition, the RS 7 is paired with Audi’s eight-speed automatic Tiptronic transmission and 4.0-liter engine that is capable of 560 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.
