Chrysler September Sales Increase

DSC_5344The Chrysler Group announced financial results for September 2014. The total U.S. sales for the company increased by 19% from September 2013, selling 169,890 units as compared to 143,047. These results marked the best September sales for the company since 2005.

Just like in August, Chrysler’s Jeep model saw the biggest increase in sales from the previous September, rising 47%. The company sold 55,231 vehicles as compared to 37,464 in September 2013. Chrysler’s Ram pickup model also saw an increase in sales, rising 30%. Fiat brand saw an increase in sales by rising 6%. The brand sold 3,360 vehicles this September as compared to 3,157 from the previous year.

Sales of Dodge vehicles were down 9%, selling 44,020 vehicles as compared to 48,576 from the previous year.

Total sales of the Chrysler brand were up 14%, marking the best September for the company since 2007. The Chrysler 200 mid-sized sedan led the pack with sales rising 15%, selling 10,995 units as compared to 9,583 from September 2013.
