BMW Sees Sales Increase for September

DSC_0216BMW Group announced global financial results for September 2014. The company’s total worldwide sales increased by 5.3% from September 2013, selling 199,799 vehicles as compared to 189,664 from the previous year. This marked the highest ever September sales month to date for BMW.

Worldwide sales of BMW brand vehicles were up 6.1%, totaling 167,584 vehicles sold as compared to 158,017 from September 2013. Sales of Mini brand vehicles increased by 1.8%, selling 31,871 vehicles as compared to 31,314 from the year before. BMW Motorrad sales also saw an increase year-over-year, up 7.8% to 9,991 vehicles sold from 9,264 vehicles sold in September 2013.

The increase in total worldwide sales for the company were led by its three major regional markets. Europe showed the highest increase in sales from September 2013 with a 7% increase in sales, selling 99,585 units as compared to 93,062 from the previous year. Asia followed and increased 4.5% year-over-year and sales in the Americas increased by 2.7% from last September.
