Chrysler Sales Up 9% in June

DSC_0444The Chrysler Group announced financial results for June 2014. The company’s total U.S. sales for the month increased by 9% year-over-year, up to 171,086 vehicles sold from 156,686 in June 2013. Last month also marked the 51st consecutive month of record sales gains for the company, and its best June sales since 2007.

Chrysler’s Jeep brand saw the most significant improvement in sales for the month, with a 28% increase, up to 57,006 vehicles sold from 44,609 in June of last year. Fiat brand sales also rose, up 11% to 4,478 vehicles sold, from 4,050 in the same period last year. In addition, the company sold 50,314 Dodge vehicles in June, a slight year-over-year increase of 1% from 49,843 last June.

Six Chrysler Group models, including the Jeep Wrangler, the Jeep Compass, the Jeep Patriot, the Dodge Journey, the Dodge Dart, and the Fiat 500L, all recorded their best June sales to date last month.

There were also five thousand 2015 Chrysler 200 mid-size sedan vehicles sold in June, up from around six hundred sold in the model’s first month of sales in May.
