Volkswagen of America Reports Financial Result for May 2014

slide-2-728Volkswagen of America announced financial results for May 2014. The auto manufacturer reported 32, 163 units delivered in May, and started sales of the seventh-generation 2015 Golf GTI.

TDI Clean Diesel models made up 23.6% of sales last month.

Passat delivered 8,955 units for the month, with Passat TDI delivering 3,172 clean diesels, which accounted for 35.4% of total Passat sales. Passat TDI sales were 3,172, representing 35.4% of sales.

Jetta deliveries, including SportWagen, accounted for 13,915 units, while the Tiguan and Touareg delivered 2,649 and 552 units respectively, according to Volkswagen.

The 2015 Golf TSI and TDI models go on sale in August, which marks the 40-year anniversary of the debut of Volkswagen’s iconic hatchback.
